How StuGig Works

Step 1: Create Your Profile

• Sign up with your email and basic details
• Add your skills, interests, and availability
• Complete your profile to build trust with employers
• Optional: Verify your student ID for better opportunities

Step 2: Browse & Filter Gigs

• Explore gigs in categories: Tutoring, Events, Delivery, Tech, and more
• Filter by city and category to find local opportunities
• View pay, requirements, and job descriptions
• Check employer profiles and ratings

Step 3: Apply with Intent

• Click "Apply Now" on gigs that match your skills
• Write a meaningful message (100+ characters): Explain why you're a good fit
• Submit your application - employer receives notification
• Track your application status in real-time

Step 4: Chat & Coordinate

• Once you apply, a private chat opens with the employer
• Discuss details: timing, location, specific requirements
• Ask questions and clarify expectations
• All communication stays private and secure

Step 5: Complete & Get Paid

• Show up on time and deliver quality work
• Confirm payment terms before starting
• Get paid via UPI, bank transfer, or cash
• Leave a review to help other students

Step 1: Create Employer Account

• Sign up and select "Employer" as your role
• Add business details and verification documents (optional but recommended)
• Build your employer profile to attract quality students

Step 2: Post a Gig

• Click "Post a Job" and fill in details
• Provide clear job title, category, and description
• Set fair pay and specify number of people needed
• Add city/location details
• Job goes live immediately - no moderation delays

Step 3: Review Applications

• Receive applications from interested students
• Read their messages explaining why they're a good fit
• Check student profiles and previous work
• Accept, reject, or shortlist candidates

Step 4: Chat & Hire

• Chat directly with applicants via secure messaging
• Discuss availability, confirm details, and set expectations
• Accept applications to finalize hiring
• Coordinate meeting location and timing

Step 5: Complete & Review

• Student completes the work as agreed
• Pay promptly according to agreed terms
• Leave honest feedback to help the community
• Close the gig or repost if needed

Is StuGig free?

Yes! No platform fees, no subscription charges. Completely free for both students and employers.

How do payments work?

Payments happen directly between students and employers. We recommend UPI, bank transfers, or cash. Always confirm payment terms before starting work.

What if I face issues with an employer/student?

Use the in-app report feature or email support@stugig.in. We investigate all reports within 24-48 hours.

Can I cancel after applying?

Yes, you can withdraw your application before it's accepted. However, frequent withdrawals may affect your profile credibility.
