Refund Policy

💰 Payment Between Users

All payments for gigs happen directly between students and employers. StuGig does not:

• Process payments
• Hold funds in escrow
• Take commissions or platform fees
• Act as a payment intermediary

🚫 No Platform Fees

Since StuGig is completely free for both students and employers, there are no subscription fees, listing charges, or transaction costs to refund.

⚖️ Payment Disputes

If you have a payment dispute with another user (student didn't receive payment, or employer claims work wasn't completed):

1. Try to resolve directly: Use in-app chat to discuss the issue
2. Document everything: Keep screenshots of agreements and conversations
3. Report to StuGig: Email support@stugig.in with details
4. We will investigate: Review chat history and evidence from both parties

Important: While we can ban users who violate payment agreements, we cannot force payments or provide refunds. For legal disputes, consult local authorities.

🛡️ Fraud Prevention

To protect yourself from payment issues:

• Students: Confirm payment terms (amount, method, timing) before starting work
• Employers: Only pay after work is completed as agreed
• Both: Keep all communication within the app for proof
• Never: Pay/request upfront "registration fees" or "advance deposits"
